Background

Why work with a Canada-trained Google Ads specialist

I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC.

I also spent years at Keepers Digital, one of the top 3% of Google Ads agencies in Canada. There I worked with big clients, handled large budgets and developed complex strategies.

Today I work on my own. You deal with me directly: the person who plans the campaigns is the same person who changes the bids, writes the ads and records your report. More on my background on the about page.

What’s included

What you get with Google Ads management

The same service I offer every client, described in full on the Google Ads management page.

Account setup or rebuild

Campaign structure built around your services and the parts of Canada you actually serve, with conversion tracking (GTM + GA4) included.

Keywords and negatives

Keyword research for the searches your customers use, plus negative keyword lists that cut spend on clicks that were never going to buy.

Ads and landing page advice

Ad copy written in English for your offer, and feedback on the page people land on, because that is often where leads are lost.

Ongoing optimization

Bids, budgets, search terms and locations reviewed and adjusted as the data comes in. I do the work myself, not a junior team.

Bi-weekly Loom video

Every two weeks I record a short video walking you through what changed in your account, what I did and what comes next.

Live client dashboard

A login to my client dashboard with your key numbers, the comparison with the previous period and budget pacing, on laptop or phone.

Canadian targeting

Google Ads settings that matter in Canada

Provinces, cities and service areas

Canada is big, and most businesses don’t serve all of it. Google Ads lets you target locations as broad as the whole country or as narrow as a province, a city, a postal code or a radius around your address. I set targeting to match where you can actually deliver, and adjust bids by area once we see which ones bring paying customers.

There’s also a setting many accounts leave on the default. Google’s location options include “Presence or interest” (the default), which can show your ads to people who are only interested in your area, and “Presence”, which focuses on people in or regularly in it. For most local businesses I use “Presence”, so a clinic in Calgary isn’t paying for clicks from people who will never visit.

English and French campaigns

If you sell in Quebec or other bilingual markets, French-speaking customers should see French ads and land on a French page. Google uses language signals to match ads to people, so in practice that means separate French ads and landing pages, and usually separate campaigns so you can see how each language performs.

I build and manage those campaigns, but I write ad copy in English. The French ad text and landing page copy need to come from you or a translator.

Taxes on your Google Ads invoices

Google charges Canadian sales tax on Google Ads based on the province in the legal address on your payments profile. You can add your GST/HST (and QST, in Quebec) registration numbers there. The details are on Google’s Canada tax info page; your accountant can tell you how it applies to you.

If you collect leads through forms or track visitors with tags, check your consent and privacy requirements with your own advisor.

FAQ

Hiring a Google Ads consultant in Canada: FAQ

Do you work with businesses anywhere in Canada?
Yes. I work remotely with businesses across Canada. I’m based in Brazil, working US & Canada hours (EST/PST), so calls and replies happen during your business day.
Are your prices in Canadian dollars?
No. Pricing is in USD. Management starts at $750 USD per month, and the recorded audit is a one-time $120 USD. Your ad spend is separate and is paid directly to Google, not to me.
Can you run French-language ads for Quebec?
I can set up and manage French-language campaigns, including the targeting and structure. I write ad copy in English, so the French ad text and landing page copy need to come from you or a translator. I’ll tell you exactly what copy is needed.
Will Google charge GST/HST on my ad spend?
Google charges Canadian sales tax on Google Ads based on the province in the legal address on your payments profile, and you can add your tax registration numbers there. See Google’s Canada tax info page and ask your accountant how it applies to your business.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. There are no contracts. You stay because the account is working. Everything is built in your own Google Ads account, so you keep the account, the data and the conversion history if we stop working together.
What’s the best way to start?
Book a free 30-minute call and we’ll look at where you are. If you want an outside opinion first, the $120 recorded audit gets you a video walkthrough and a PDF report within 3 business days.
